As a 2009 Penn State University graduate, I am well aware of the challenges that lie ahead for the newspaper industry. Innovation is not just important anymore, but vital to the survival of newspapers and their Web sites throughout the country. As a journalist with a reporting, photography and multimedia background I am ready to meet these challenges head on.
Currently, I work as a copy editor at The News Leader in Staunton, Va., a Gannett newspaper with about 20,000 daily circulation. I am also a correspondent for USA Today, where I previously interned.
